When cutting out round window openings, cut out the window below the semi-circle to start with. Next, cut out most of the semi-circle as shown below.

The best way to remove the inside of the semi-circle is to use a downward sawing action with the tip of the blade to carve out the remaining card.

It is handy to suspend the card over the edge of the workbench when cutting out the remaining card. Remember! you can only perform this action if the blade is extremely sharp. If the blade is blunt, it will simply rip the card and ruin the kit.

When cutting our curves, rather than trying to cut the curve out freehand following the line of the curve, which should only be attempted if you are skilled with a knife, attempt to cut slices off as shown on the next page.
